Full Circle Physical Therapy is a private physical therapy practice run by Amy Tamos (PT, DPT) and based in Clarendon Hills, IL. FCPT offers physical therapy services from birth to adulthood.
FCPTMeet Amy Art

After treating women and children for 3 years as a physical therapist, I gave birth to my twin girls via C-section. The leaking, the pain, the core weakness—I’ve experienced it all.

When I returned to treating clients, I had a totally different perspective as a mother—and I knew there had to be a better way to help women and children.

It’s so common for babies and new moms to struggle with function and weakness. It’s not so common to find someone who can help both of you, at the same time.

I keep things real in my office. And if all you need that day is a good cry or a good talk, I’m here for that.

How we work together...

Step 1: Evaluation

Full Circle Physical Therapy begins with a personal evaluation, assessing strength, mobility, balance, and function. The evaluation will help me to understand the deficits and how to apply treatments to improve overall impairments. I offer co-evaluations for mothers and children.

Step 2: Sessions

Physical therapy sessions are 1-on-1, last 45-60 minutes, and take place at Root & Bloom, a chiropractic office in Clarendon Hills. In our sessions we will perform manual techniques if needed, along with exercises and specific movements to improve patterns.

Step 3: Achieving Outcomes

I want to ensure every woman and child is achieving life-changing results. I make sure that happens by continuing to assess your goals, measure your strength, and evaluate progress.

Pregnancy and Postpartum

I treat physical limitations and pain due to pregnancy and childbirth—no matter how far along you are, or how old your kids are!

  • Prepare your body for a strong, safe birth
  • Uncover the causes behind your pain and weakness
  • Heal your body after the strain of pregnancy and childbirth
  • Get back to exercising
  • Stop urine leakage
  • Enjoy sex again

I work with all ages, from fresh newborns to rascally teenagers. Your child could benefit from an evaluation if any of the following are true:

Your child…

  • Is a newborn baby
  • Had a long or traumatic birth
  • Doesn’t seem to be developing on track
  • Was recommended for physical therapy due to developmental delays or low/high tone
  • Prefers to use or only look to one side of their body
  • Needs sport-specific help or appears uncoordinated
  • Just seems uncomfortable or in pain!

Pelvic Floor

Just because you don’t have kids, or your kids are grown, doesn’t mean that you can’t have pelvic floor dysfunction!

I can help with:

  • Painful sex
  • Incontinence or leakage of urine or feces
  • Pelvic pain and pressure
  • Constipation
  • Tissue restriction caused by old scars
